Configure Your Account Form

After you have created your Account for the BOINC Powered Project, an e-Mail is sent to the e-Mail address that you used while creating the Account on the the Project's Web Site using the "Create An Account" Form.
This sample shows an e-Mail that was received from the BOINC Powered Project after the initial information was entered and the "Submit" button was pressed on the the "Create An Account" Form.
- Note:
- The Account Key shown in the sample is not an Account Key that will work, so do not try to use this Account Key.
- Note:
- The e-Mail forms vary slightly from Project to Project, but there will be both a URL and a unique string of letters and numbers that will identify your specific Account (also known as an Authenticator).
With your e-Mail in hand, open the e-Mail, you will want to get to the Configure Your Account Form (On some projects it is the "Activate Your Account" Form.
Now with the e-Mail and the form open, and using "copy" and "paste" enter the Account Key into this field (also see "Detailed Instructions on Selecting the Account Key").
Now click the "Ok" button.
That is it! You have joined a BOINC Powered Project and are ready to move on.

- Detailed steps to accomplish the process and installation of the BOINC Client Software and starting the applicable the Science Application are available in "Installing the BOINC Client Software And Participating In A BOINC Powered Project".
Now you need to do is:
- Down load the BOINC Client Software.
- Install the BOINC Client Software.
- Then "attach" the BOINC Client Software to a Project, as shown in the "Projects Tab" documentation.

[edit] Notes, Oddities, and "Watch Out For This"
- As it states on the page, it is possible that the e-Mail from the Project's Web Site may be blocked as "spam" by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If this is the case, you may not receive the e-Mail from the BOINC Powered Project. Obviously, if this is the case, you will have to contact the Internet Service Provider to get the e-Mail unblocked.
