Pending Credit Page

The purpose of the "Pending Credit" Page is to show you the current Work Units that you have completed the process of creating a Result and sending that information (the Result Data File and the Result) to the Project's Scheduling Server.
Until the other required Results are returned by the other Participants that are processing this Work Unit, your Result will be carried as a Pending Result.
- Note:
- Due to performance problems on the BOINC Database some of the BOINC Powered Projects may have "turned-off" this page and it will not be available. For example, on SETI@Home the "Pending Credit" Page has been turned off. There is no predicted time when this feature will be turned back on again (if ever).
You also can see that each Result has a unique identifier that is displayed as a link. We can follow those links to the place where the content of the Result is shown.
At any rate, what we have is a list of the Results and the amount of Claimed Credit. You have to always keep in mind though, the amount that is awarded depends:
- on you returning the Result, and that
- all of the returned Results do in fact create a Quorum of Results, and
- there can be no error condition detected in your Result, and
- your Result matches (there is wiggle room, the matches do not have to be exact) the other Results in that Quorum of Results.
Now, after wading through all of that, depending on the Project, you may get the mean of the Claimed Credits, the lowest Claimed Credit, or more rarely, exactly what you claimed (a usual condition if the Quorum Size is one, that is, the Project is not doing redundant processing of the Work Units).
The "Pending Credit" (sum) shown at the bottom of the list should be the same as the sum that was shown in the Statistics section of the User's page. This number can and will fluctuate as the Results are returned and Credit is granted as the various Quorum of Results are created.

- The "Pending Credit" Page is not used on the Climateprediction.net project because of the way that they process work and issue Credit. Their system, because of the way that data is processed, fixed amounts of Credit are granted for each "Trickle" that is reported to the Project.
- Many other BOINC Powered Projects do not use the "Pending Credit" Page because of the additional load it places on the Database Server.
