Your Account Page - Account Statistics Section
From Unofficial BOINC Wiki
Contents |
[edit] General
The "Your Account" Page contains a section called Account Statistics that is a summarization of your contribution to the BOINC Powered Project.
In this section you can see the values of your current statistics. For those of us that are "Crunchers" this is probably the most important part of the entire BOINC Web Site.
The information listed includes:
- The date when you joined the BOINC Powered Project
- Total Credit
- Recent Average Credit
- SETI@Home Classic Work Units (SETI@Home Project only)
- SETI@Home Classic CPU Time (SETI@Home Project only)
- Pending Credit
- Team
- Computers On This Account
- Results
- Stats on your cell phone {URL}
- Forum posts {number} messages
Following my practice, we shall talk about each of these elements and try to give you some idea of how they are used and what relevance they have to you (if any).
The totality of this whole page is that it gives the entire context of your Account and its relationship to the the Project, which is a BOINC Powered Project. In this section we show the collection of statistics that show the contribution you are making as a Participant in the Project.
[edit] Line by Line
[edit] Project member since {date}
This is an unchangeable value that indicates the date when the user joined the Project. Well, this does show the "birth date" of when you joined, right down to the second in many cases.
[edit] Total Credit
This is the total number of Cobblestones of Credit that you have accumulated as your Total Credit since the beginning of your participation in the the BOINC Powered Project.
[edit] Recent Average Credit
This field holds the value that indicates how much Credit is being generated by all of your computers that are producing work for this specific Project on a day-by-day basis. The Recent Average Credit has a "decay" factor so that if you have not contributed any Results to the Project for some time the Recent Average Credit should decay by half each week (the current setting).
- Note:
- The Recent Average Credit (RAC) is not yet being calculated as planned. If you stop contributing the value does not decay as it should. This is because the RAC is calculated as Results are evaluated and stored in the BOINC Database.
[edit] SETI@Home Classic Work Units (SETI@Home Only)
This is a total of the number of Work Units that you may have processed as a member of the SETI@Home Classic Project. If you joined the SETI@Home Project after it became Powered by BOINC, then you will not see this row of data in your account statistics.
- Note:
- The number of Work Units processed for the SETI@Home Classic Project was taken as a "snapshot" and therefore will be out of date. So, if you continue processing Classic work, this number will not change in the immediate future.
However, after the SETI@Home Classic project is closed down, this number, and the amount of CPU Time, will be updated with the final total numbers.
[edit] SETI@Home Classic CPU Time (SETI@Home Only)
This is a total of the computer time that you may have donated to the SETI@Home Classic Project. If you joined the SETI@Home project after it became Powered by BOINC, then you will not see this row of data in your account statistics.
[edit] Pending credit
The Pending Credit line gives the total of Cobblestones that has been claimed as Results have been returned but has not been awarded yet. The "View" link allow you to go to a page that will list the Pending Credit.
Some Projects may disable this link, or the page that would show the Pending Credit has been disabled. Clicking on the "View" link will open the "Pending Credit" Page.
[edit] Team
This line lists the Teamthat you belong to, if any. If the you belong to a Team, the link to the Team's data will be shown here. The links shown here vary depending on several factors; including:
- The version of the server side software that the Project is using.
- If you have joined a Team on that Project.
- If the Team you joined still exists.
- If it is night, how many vampires are out and about.
The links that are displayed include:
- "None (find a team)"
- "{team-name}" | "Quit this team"
- "Change"
- "{team-name}" | "Quit this team" | "Management Functions"
[edit] Computers On Your Account
This line has the "View" link that will take you to the page that lists the computers that you have performing calculations for the BOINC Powered Project.
Clicking on the link "View Computers" opens the "Your Computers" Page.
[edit] Results
This is where you get a "View" link to a list of your Results that have been returned to the Project.
Clicking on the "View" link takes you to the "Results For User" Page.
[edit] Stats On Your Cell Phone
For those that cannot stand to not know their statistical information on an immediate basis, well, this line contains the link that you can use to obtain up-to-the-minute information about your Account Statistics.
[edit] Forum posts
Clicking on the link for the Forum Posts will let you look at your latest messages and from there go to the Forum directly without having to search through the threads trying to find the one that you had created a few days ago and you want to go back to that thread directly instead of having to go through all of the Forums.
To the best of my knowledge, this is a cumulative number of all of the posts made to either of the two Forums.
Clicking on the ""n" Messages" link opens up a listing of your latest Forum posts.
