Dates like 30 Feb and 29 Feb occur in the Climateprediction Model (even when not a leap year). Dates like the 31st of any month do not occur.

This may seem odd but the Climateprediction Model works on 12 months of 30 days giving 360 days per year.

The reasons for this include that Climateprediction Models cannot predict the weather and doing this makes gathering statistics much easier. The scientists would not be working with such systems if they thought it would make a difference to the modeled climate.
