[edit] General
Message Type: Error Message
This Message from the BOINC Client Software means that while the Science Application was processing a Work Unit into a Result, the Science Application exceeded the memory constraint defined for the [[Work Unit].
When work is defined by the Project, they have to describe the boundaries of the expected "footprint" of the Work Units and the Results on the Participant's Computer. This is so that the Scheduler can send work only to those computers that can support that work. If a mistake is made by the Project in the definition of the limits, well, when one of the defined limits is exceeded the processing is halted.
