Account Name

A name (or alias) supplied by the Participant by which that Participant wishes to be known. These Account Names may or may not be unique identifiers, this is a project dependent policy. Some projects may require a unique name, and others will not have that requirement. The BOINC Client Software, for example does not require a unique name for the Account Name.

In my own case, I have always found that my real name works just as well as any other made up name.
