Automatic Update

This is the normal mode of operation of the BOINC Client Software system for the Science Applications. As new versions of the Science Application become available the system will automatically update the version of the Science Application program resident on your computer. Note this does not apply to the BOINC Client Software itself. Because of the way it needs to be installed, the BOINC Client Software has to be manually installed.

There are going to be minimum version requirements for many Projects so if you do not have automatic updates enabled, then at some point in time you will no longer be able to process work for that project. These minimum version requirements will apply to both the Science Application and also for the BOINC Client Software. ]
