BOINC Acronyms

Like many computer projects, the project to develop and field the BOINC System is no exception to the rule that the project must have acronyms that are used as short-cut expressions to long and usually boring names. So, we make up acronyms that are then used as the new "name" of the system, object, software component, etc. Oh, yes, they are also there so the "old-timers" can be smugly superior to the newcomers.
