[edit] I want to run my Science Applications but want to remove the BOINC Client Software, how do I do that?
Quite simply, you can't.
The BOINC Client Software is an essential architecture that supports all of the Science Applications for those BOINC Powered Projects you have joined. So, to support those BOINC Powered Projects you have to have the BOINC Client Software.
[edit] I have to quit supporting the BOINC Client Software and projects because I am running out of disk space. What else can I do?
[edit] I have to quit supporting the BOINC Client Software and projects because computer is running slow. What else can I do?
Different projects have different system requirements, you may wish to try another BOINC project to see if your computer is capable of doing work for it.
If your computer has very low specifications, and is still unable to run any BOINC project, you may wish to try distributed computing project outside of BOINC system - for example, distributed.net has low-requirement clients even for such old-time OS as MS-DOS.
If your computer is still not capable of handling low-requirement projects, distributed computing may not be for you. You should upgrade your computer.
