BOINC Screensaver

The portion of the BOINC Client Software that creates and maintains the graphical images that will be displayed when the computer has been idle for the Participant's designated interval of time. A Project specific screen saver images does require a module in the Science Application that will create the images related to the processing being performed at that moment by the application. If the Science Application does not provide any input to the BOINC Client Software the BOINC Screensaver will display a bouncing image of the BOINC Logo on the screen.
Many of the production Projects have a dynamic Screensaver which is based on the data currently being processed by the Science Application. Another type of Screensaver is one where a series of images are displayed instead of actually creating a dynamic image.
