An application that downloads HTML content from a Web Server via the HTTP Protocol and renders the page so that it's displayed for the user to read.

• Firefox — an exelent "standards compliant" browser, with many features and extensions.
• Opera — another excellent browser, fast, good security, supurb standard support (so modern sites display correctly), many features which make it very easy to use.
