A defining characteristic of software, in that all Software delivered and put to work to fulfill its intended task will have "Bonus Features" that have been included at no extra cost.

A software defect that has been detected.

A software defect that has been added. (see Debugging)

A software defect that the manufacturer (or developer) of the software does not want to fix is known as a "Feature".

Bugs found in the BOINC software should be checked out and reported to BoincZilla so they can be squashed.
