Message Type: Error Message

The BOINC Client Software is indicating that the needed version of the Science Application is not available on the Participant's Computer. Because the processing of Work Units takes place over time, there may be several versions of the Science Application that could be used.

The Work Unit that the BOINC Daemon was going to run requires, say Version 4.8, but the BOINC Daemon can only find Version 4.9 on the computer.

Possible causes:

• The Project made an error in the scheduling process indicating to the BOINC Client Software that all Work Units that were originally to be run under version 4.8 can now be run under version 4.10 instead of the correct version 4.9 that is available.
• The Science Application Version was deleted in error by the Participant.
