DB Purge Daemon

A maintenance utility, this BOINC Server-Side Daemon Program, the DB Purge Daemon removes records from the on-line BOINC Database when they are no longer needed thereby keeping the BOINC Database as small as possible.

Keeping the amount of data in the BOINC Database as small as possible improves the speed of operation of the BOINC Server System significantly. For most BOINC Powered Projects the records are inserted into the Project's Master Science Database before they are removed from the BOINC Database.
