Message Type: Information Message

This message means that the BOINC Client Software has started up; and it identifies the directory or folder the BOINC Client Software will use for data storage. The format will appear slightly different depending on which Operating System is in use.

Looking at the examples, not the slight differences that occur due to the differences in Operating System, installation type, and Preferences. In particular you should note that the type of "slash" character is different. Also, Microsoft Windows® uses the "drive letter" mechanism where Unix based systems will use the path from the "root" or "/".
