These are detail instructions on how to select the Account Key from the e-Mail.

Note:

Ensure that there are no leading or trailing spaces in the selected text. They can cause serious problems, the least of which is not being able to "Attach" the BOINC Client Software to a BOINC Powered Project.

[edit] Microsoft Windows®

1. With the e-Mail open, click at one end of the 32-character Account Key with the mouse.
2. While holding the left mouse button down, drag the cursor over the entire 32-character Account Key to select it.

Alternatively, hold down the shift key and use the arrow keys to select the text.

1. With the complete 32-character Account Key selected, hold the "CTRL" key down, then type the "c" key.
2. Cool, now the 32-character Account Key has been copied to the clipboard.
3. Ok, now you can use the "Back" button on your Web Browser to return to the installation guide.

[edit] Apple Macintosh - OS-X

1. With the e-Mail open, click at one end of the 32-character Account Key with the mouse.
2. While holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor over the entire 32-character Account Key to select it.

1. With the complete 32-character Account Key selected, hold the "Command" (or "Apple") key down, then type the "c" key.
2. Cool, now the 32-character Account Key has been copied to the clipboard.
3. Ok, now you can use the "Back" button on your Web Browser to return to the installation guide.
