The actual storage media that is contained in a cartridge and is recorded with information using the format specified for a Digital Linear Tape.
A format and cartridge system used for data storage on magnetic tape. The tapes record information in linear tracks that "line-up" on the tape. These cartridges are capable of storing between 20 and 50 Gigabytes on one tape cartridge. This tape system addresses mid-range archival needs for a high speed data storage.
