Equilibrium
From Unofficial BOINC Wiki
[edit] General
An Equilibrium Climate Model is one where the model is run until it reaches a steady state. The aim is to see the overall effect of a change in forcings.
The opposite is a Transient model where you look to see how changes evolve over time.
A fast way of running an Equilibrium model is to use a Slab Model which has a simplified ocean.
