A collection of questions about a software or hardware system that attempts to explain things that commonly are asked by a person that is just coming in contact with the system. This collection of questions and answers is a dialog from the product producers to the potential user or the new user that may have difficulty in installing, using, configuring, etc. the product.
The idea is to attempt to anticipate the potential problems and ease the burden on the customer support team by killing off the most common problems encountered by the Participants. In the case of the BOINC Client Software and the two UC Berkeley Science Applications (SETI@Home and AstroPulse) the person that refined the initial material created by the first author of the FAQ and Glossary (that author was an obsessed hermit living high on a mountain top, disgusted with a world where the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ), Glossaries, Owner's Manuals, Read-Me Files, and Forums and all of the other assorted documents were considered to be a nuisance rather than an opportunity to excel) has no other life and has never been sighted; stay tuned.Template:Clarify?
