A program that is intended to prevent the possibilities of damage to normal computer monitors. In the really ancient days of personal computers there was a minor purpose in the use of these programs (if you are old enough to remember the damage done by the "Pong" game on televisions across America, I truly pity you). With improved construction and the inroads of LCD monitors their function in life has ended and now only serve as art.
