The Unofficial BOINC Wiki is a collection of information about all aspects of BOINC. We cover, and intend to cover the BOINC System primarily from a Participant's perspective, but, also contain development information.
To get the most out of the Unofficial BOINC Wiki, you will have to do some reading. Sorry about that ... but, to really understand the BOINC System, and how it works there is some homework that is necessary.
Don't panic. The material in the Unofficial BOINC Wiki is tailored to the non-technical reader, with the ease of understanding as one of its primary goals. We do not, however, compromise on technical accuracy without fair warning.
To begin your journey, we have a suggested reading list below. We suggest that you read at least the minimum recommendations.

We recommend that you read the following sections of the Unofficial BOINC Wiki (that includes all of the articles/subjects listed, in other words, read the whole thing):

- Features of the BOINC System
- BOINC Application Owner's Manual
- Messages, Discovering the Meaning of The Message Tab's Contents
We also recommend that you keep in the back of your mind the following reference sections:
- BOINC Acronyms
- BOINC Glossary
- BOINC "How-To" Guides
- BOINC Messages includes Error Messages; and Project specific messages
These reference sections can be used to "look-up" a lot of the things that may be confusing to you.
The last place we are going to suggest is to take a look at the following reference. This one can be especially useful when you are trying to make sense of some of the material that relies on the pages and forms of the "standard" BOINC Web Site.
