Message Type: Information Message

This Message means that the BOINC Client Software contacted a Project's Scheduler but was not issued work due to the Host not having enough memory. It also states how much additional RAM is needed for this Work Unit. Some Projects may have differing requirements for different Work Units, but most do not.

Line by Line Explanation

1. Message from server: Your computer has only "x" bytes of memory; workunit requires "x" more bytes
   • This message tells you how much RAM your Host has available and how much more you need for this Work Unit.
2. Message from server: No work sent
   • No work is being sent to your Host at this time. There may be additional messages before or after this message that explain why.
3. Message from server: (there was work but your computer doesn't have enough memory)
   • This message tells why the Scheduling Server has decided not to send any Work Units to your Host.
4. No work from project
   • Your Host was unable to retrieve work from this Project.
5. Deferring communication with project for "x" hours, "y" and "z" seconds
   • This message informs you how long your Host will wait before it attempts to contact this Project again.
